As we have seen in class, being a spy can be an interesting, but also a dangerous, way of living - thank God, lots of gadgets are always available to make life easier, as you will see in the videos in blocks I (spies) and II below (gadgets).
Task: pick up one video from each block and, after watching them as many times as necessary, send a comment to your teacher summarising the one from block (I) and giving your opinion on the gadgets appearing in the video from block (II). You must do this in class.

Summary BLOC I
Chemical fertiliser with a bomb.
MacGyver and a boy are closed inside a room. He uses a burn wire and a triangle to liberate then self. They try to desactivate the bomb, they have only seven minutes and MacGyver push a button and they only have fifty eight seconds to go out.
He pulls the bomb by a pipe and the bomb goes directly under the car of the bandits.
Opinion BLOC II
The first gadget is a clock with a mobile phone, GFM. You can hear everything from any room, you can watch the children, husband… This clock costs 600 pounds. They create this gadget and it is very useful but it is very expensive.
The second gadget is a regular adaptor. It serves to listen everything and costs 200 pounds. I like this gadget because it is very useful and its price is affordable.
The third gadget is a mini TV camera. It is a little camera inside a brooch. It costs 650 pounds. This is the best gadget but the only problem it’s the price.
Bloc I:
In this scene from the movie Casino Royal we can see James Bond playing poker with other people and one of those people, the antagonist, poisoned Bond’s drink. That causes Bond a heart attack but he realizes and from his car he contacts with the central that helps he to use the emergency equipment that is hidden in the car. Bond is about to die when the girl appears, clicking the red button that produces an electric shock and Bond wakes up.
Bloc II:
In the first part of “spy gadgets” they show different espionage gadgets. First they present a clock with a phone and a microphone hidden behind, and then they present examples of cameras hidden in buttons or pins.
In my opinion using the first gadget is not a good idea because in most companies it would be used for spying their workers and this is not good.
I think that hidden cameras, however, it’s very well for prevent theft or violence, but sometimes it is not good to take a hidden camera because you can intimidate the other people. I think that these gadgets should only be used by the police because they are products that can reveal personal details about people’s lives.

VIDEO 1
The protagonist, MacGyver and his assistant have been locked and tied in a room and there is a pump in operation. MacGyver loosens the rope and tries to stop the pump but he makes the time of operate shorter. He decides to throw the bomb to a tube and when the bomb arrives to the end of the tube, it operates and makes the car of the fugitives also operates.
VIDEO 2
In this video you can see a girl presents different types of gadgets such as a button, a pen and a clock with a camera. We can also see a specialist center in gadgets.
From my point of view, the gadgets are necessary for spies because thanks to gadgets they discover many things that help society. But the gadgets also can affect society because they tempt against privacy rights such as right of image. Therefore the gadgets can be positives of society if used correctly.

In this video, we see two men and his feet and his hands are tied, in the room there is a bomb. One of the men things and he breaks the strings with a radiator. The other man, also breaks the strings. The man who break first the strings, takes the bomb and he throws the bomb in a metal tube, and the bomb exploited under the car of the criminals.

In my opinion the gadgets are interesting, because they are special and strange things, but normal people don’t use them, because there are a gadgets for persons who spy, they use them for their missions.
) - MacGyver Tricks 2: In the video we can see as two men and a woman, they are running on a ship and a man appears with a gun and shoots one of the two men and the man falls down in a hole on a box. Later, his friend dresses his arm. And after treating the arm they look for a way of going out of the hole, and they found a water pressure machine. Both men look for other materials (hoses, pipes …) and they start constructing a system to be able to go out. They manage to construct a system, start flying thanks to the pressure and go out of the hole.

- Megawhat.tv: In the video we can see two different types of gadgets. The first one consists of a few buttons of a shirt that really are cameras to spy; and the second gadget consists of a clock, but really apart from a clock it‘s a telephone. I agree with the use of applications because it’s possible to discover many things, and in an easier way. But also at once I don’t agree, because as a result of these gadgets the intimacy of the people isn’t respected
Casino Royal- : The Poisoning Scene
In this scene James Bond is playing at the casino. He drink a little bit of a glass but it is empoisoned and he doesn’t feel well and he go outside of the casino direction his car. He warns to the others spies and they help him by the phone but his heart goes worst; he remains in unconscious but a girl arrives and save him.

On one way I think these gadgets are good for our security but It’s dangerous for our privacy. But also on the other way they could be dangerous for the privacy of the people; for example to get important information of an important company.

On the first blog, I coshed the poisoning scene of the Casino Royale Movie,
In this scene James Bond is poisoned by a Tycoon with a lot of money in a gambling game in a Casino. James Bond goes to the toilet to try to recover drinking water. The 007 Agent goes to his Aston Martin Vanquish to try to recover his health an injecting an get an antidote.
The MI6 department contact concordance with his Agent, to show the instructions to recover his health. The Mi6 discover that the problem is a ventricular tachycardia by a adhesive patches for measuring heart rate. James try concordance to recover by a patch of reanimation, but realize concordance that his patch is disconnected. fortunately appears a girl that, we suppose, is his girlfriend or a friend, and revive James connecting the reanimation patch.
I comment the second scene, I think if this spy objects it sold wrong word sold, cause a lot of problems, because the people don’t like has being spied by another person. But these articles, also help the police to investigate a lot of crimes or something vandalic acts.
In the scene of the poisoning, from the film Casino Royal, the main character is playing in one casino. He drink a cup and few seconds later he starts getting bad. He goes to the toilet to drink water but it’s not bad. He go in there car, because he have the accessory to put the antidote. The accessory dosn’t worck but one girl repair the accessory and the main character, Bond, survive.
The spy gadgets are incredible because in one button, movile, alarm clock, etc, you will meet one camera, and one adapter maybe is a recorder. Anyone, can buy this gadgets in one shop specialized by spy. This is dangerous because the people who are spied, don’t have privated life.

Comment a video: Casino Royale
The video that we chose is Casino Royale, specifically the poisoning scene. We found this video very interesting and exciting, it’s a scene with lots of suspense.
The main character, James Bond is playing a game of poker, but suddenly he starts to feel very bad, he realises that the drink was poisoned, and also that the author was the man that is in front of him.
All the scene is exciting, but especially, when James Bond is in the car, because we have the suspense if he will die or he will stay alive.
We watched the film, and we liked it very much, so this scene also it’s very good and the music is another factor that emphasizes the suspense.
To conclude, we can say that this scene is one of the best scenes of this film, and we recommend this film to everybody.
